Days 39 - 59 - Dukan Diet Cruise Phase

Wow, How slack have I been...

I am still following the diet (with lots of cheats). I do my best to follow the diet, eat Dukan friendly food 90% of the time, but I don't stress when I go to friends' for dinner as I know I'll be back to Dukan the next day. And so far I'm very happy with the weight I have lost.

In week 5 of Cruise I fell completely off the wagon. I baked the kids some Condensed Milk cookies which was sooooo good. I ate 10 (yes that's right - I felt sick afterwards). Then the next day we had Pork Spare ribs & chips and so on. It continued for 5 days. Naughty Naught Naughty.

My husband decided to join me on the Dukan diet so I did 5 days of PP after that mishap and he did his 3 days of Attack.

Since then we both have been fairly good. The worst being when we went to a friends place for dinner where we both ate potato bake, sausages, crackers & cheese, etc. I also had two little glasses of red wine.

Today is day 58 on Dukan diet for me and I have TWO birthday parties to go to. Oh boy I know this is going to be such a bad day. BUT I'm not stressing about it, because it will only slow my weight loss and I'll be back to Dukan Diet tomorrow. I think a cheat day every now and then is okay as long as you get back to the diet the very next day. That way I don't feel like I'm missing out & I still loose weight.

My weight loss for the 5th week on Cruise (the very bad one!) was 600g. Pretty amazing compared to what I ate, but I'm very excited about it.

Week 6 wasn't so kind and I only lost 300g even though most of that week was PP. Ohh well, such is life. Keep going and maybe next week is better.

Week 7 (of which I still have today and tomorrow left) is looking good so far. My starting weight was 83kg and this morning I weighed 81.3kg. So maybe my scale was out at the end of last week.

I am so happy with the 11.1kg I have lost to date in 57 days since starting the Dukan diet. Thank you Dr Pierre Dukan.

As a treat for reaching the half way mark I had a massage, foot scrub, facial, hand massage, haircut, hair treatment and blowdry. Even got some basic makup put on afterwards. Wow that was three hours of bliss.

Days 32 - 38 - Dukan Diet Cruise Phase

Wow, another week on the Dukan diet. Can't believe I've done more than 5 weeks already. It has been fairly easy, but I am starting to want the sweeter things in life. My other big crave is bread. I love baking fresh bread and it is really hard not to eat any when it's still nice and warm...

This week start weight was 85.1kg and end weight 83.9kg. This is a loss of 1.2kg for the week and a total loss of 8.5kg. Wow it's fantastic to now starting to fit into some old clothes.

As I'm starting to crave the sweeter things I'm trying all sorts of new recipes (mainly ones I'm trying to adjust from non Dukan friendly ones). But I haven't had much success.

My cheat diary:
D32 - Coles Chicken Meat Loaf - didn't like it so I won't get it again
D33 - Shallow fried fish (hubby just doesn't know how to cook without oil)
D34 - Breakfast at our fav cafe, which should be okay except for the oil it is cooked in. I also had an Atkins Choc Decadence Bar
D35 - I was really good. No cheats
D36 - Another good day. No cheats
D37 - Atkins Choc Dec Bar, Coles Beef Meatloaf. I felt a little sick today so hardly ate anything. I only had half the oat bran for today.
D38 - Well today I fell of the wagon! I made the kids some condensed milk cookies and ate a lot of it myself. It was sooo yummy but really buttery and sweet. The only ingredients is condensed milk, sugar, butter and flour. Plus whatever you want to mix in. I did dark and white choc chips, milo and coconut, crushed peppermint crisp chocolate. Wow by night time I felt sick from all this junk. The only real food I ate today was fish & vegetables (cooked by hubby so covered in oil. LOL) I love when he catches fish & that he cooks it too! He's so good even though I make his ears burn because he came back from fishing at 1.30pm and was supposed to be home by 11am so he could spend time with the kids.

It seems that the bad things I eat only shows its weight two days later so Sunday's cookies will probably only show on Tuesday. So I think I'll have to do lots of excercise on Monday to make up for this slip up.

Friday 1 July 2011

Days 25 - 31 - Dukan Diet Cruise Phase

Start weight for week 3 on Cruise was 86.9kg. End weight was 85.1kg. This is a loss of 1.8kg for the week and a total of 7.3kg since starting the Dukan diet a month ago. I am very happy with the weight loss and the ease of following the diet.

I am starting to crave more than just the savoury bits of the diet. I'm trying all sorts of sweet things. My fav is the easy cheesecake and chocolate oat bran muffins. These muffins are great for the days that I'm at work as I can eat 4-6 of these depending on how big they are. This means I can eat almost all day and not even feel like I'm on a diet. Yummo!

I am also cheating lots lately with the Atkins Choc Decadence Bars (about two a week).

My naughtiness for the week:

Day 26 - Atkins Choc Decadence Bar
Day 27 - Scrambled eggs & one bite of sourdough toast at Ona - my son insisted he share with me
Day 28 - Hubby took me out for lunch and I had fried calamari that wasn't crumbed but rather just coated in cornflour and spices/herbs. This was really really nice. I'll have it again for sure.
Day 29 - Atkins Choc Decadence Bar
Day 30 - I've planned this cheat day for weeks now so I didn't feel guilty about eating. It was a friend's son's 3rd birthday party and I had cake. Not once but three times. LOL it was soooo yummy. She was kind enought to have served carrot sticks and boiled eggs too so I didn't even feel left out whilst others ate the chips & fruit. Oh I did also have a chicken sausage that would have been a bit naughty but after three serves of cake who cares....
Day 31 - Hubby came home with warm White Choc & Macadamia cookies from Subway. How good was that. I ate half a cookie.
I also tried out a Meat Loaf from Coles that was pre-made and ready for the oven. The nutritional info didn't look too bad so I ate it freely. It was much better than a meat loaf I made a couple of weeks ago.

After all this naughtiness I still lost 1.8kg for the week. Hope it doesn't show up on the scales in a few days. That wouldn't be very nice but I sort of expect it to.

I cycled to the birthday party so I could burn off some calories from the cake.
Day

Days 18 - 24 - Dukan Diet Cruise Phase

Wow, has it really been this long since I posted my progress on the Dukan diet? Naughty me for being so slack...

Week 2 on the Cruise Phase was a little up and down weight wise. I started at 87.2kg and my end of week weight was 86.9kg. Which is a loss of 300g for the week and a total of 5.5kg. Still pretty good though!

I did cheat a little:
Day 18 - Atkins Choc Decadence Bar (my fav cheat)
Day 20 - Couple of licks of Choc Ice Cream (licking my fingers when handling the boys' ice creams), I also had breakfast at my fav cafe (Ona in Coolangatta). As it was a PV day I had, scrambled eggs, mushroom, tomato and onion. All this would've been cooked in oil or butter.
Day 21 - Atkins Choc Decadence Bar
Day 22 - We went to our local Surf Club and had roast beef served with vegetables, mashed potato and covered in gravy. I only had one bite of the potato and scratched off as much of the gravy as possible. So really not too bad a cheat meal.
Day 23 & 24 - PP both days to make up for my naughtiness

Overall I didn't think it was too bad a week, but the weight loss wasn't fantastic. My scales are a bit buggered too so I'll just blame it. Sometimes it gives me as much as 2kg difference. I usually just take an average then. LOL. Not the best way but it sort of works for me. As long as I never see that 90kg mark again.

I also haven't been drinking more than just the required amount of liquids.

Exercise wise I've started using the bike about once or twice a week. Depending on the weather. As I have the boys on a trailer thingy behind me it's not ideal to go when it's raining or too cold.

Days 11 - 17 - Dukan Diet Cruise Phase

Wow, I finally got to the Dukan Diet Cruise Phase. I thought it was relatively easy to do the Attack Phase and wasn't really looking forward to introduce vegetables. I think it was mainly because I now have to really think about what to cook. Before I could cook the family a meal they really enjoyed but from now on they will have to eat a Dukan friendly meal. So I suppose it will be trial and error until I find something they really like.

For the rest of the diet I will put up a weekly blog rather than a daily one. The weight loss should be about a kilo a week from what I've read on other websites so rather than weighing every day, I'd be looking at the overall weight loss for the week.

With a total weight loss of 3.6kg for the Attack Phase, I'm motivated to loose the rest. I can already feel some clothes fitting better and my tummy has definitely shrunk a little.

Starting weight on Cruise was 88.8kg. On the morning of Day 17 I weighed 87.8kg, which is a loss of 1kg for the first week on Cruise and a total weight loss of 4.6kg.

I started eating what is allowed on the Dukan diet, but with friends over for dinner twice this week and having gone to the Cooly Rocks On festival, I have been naughty. So instead of listing what I've eaten for the week, I'd rather tell you the bad stuff I ate.

On day 13 I roasted chicken drumsticks vegetables (pumpkin, potato & carrot). I couldn't resist the potato and had three small ones. Despite this I still lost 400g that day.

Day 14 was a PP day and I pretty much stuck to the diet (just in case those potatoes only show it's weight today)

Day 15 was a really bad PV day. I had all good intentions making pumpkin soup to take with me to playgroup, as everybody has some morning tea there and I usually just sit there not eating anything. Playgroup got cancelled so we decided to go to the Cooly Rocks On festival. I forgot my lunch bag in the car and didn't realise until we got to the other side of town. So we decided to have lunch somewhere. I ordered savoury mince and egg, but the savoury mince would have had lots of bad stuff in it.
Then we had friends over for a fish stir fry and prawns. Hubby cooked and briefly forgot that I can't have most of the stuff (like the sauce and noodles and some of the vegetables). I didn't want to be rude so I ate a medium sized portion of the lot. I know - very very naughty. I was good enough not to have the garlic bread, but did have a tiny little bit of the berry pie for desert. I made some Meringue cakes and cheesecake for my desert & explained that I'm on a diet and couldn't eat the pie and ice cream. Rude I know but I have been naughty enough.
So after Day 15 I expected to pick up at least 500g, but somehow, I still lost 100g. All that walking must have been enough to cancel out the extra calories.

Day 16 was meant to be a PP day but I had some leftover pumpkin soup and was planning a beef stroganoff for the family so decided I'll just go one more PV and balance it out over the fortnight.
Oops, I gained 200g because of that, but decided it won't get me down because of the overall weight loss for the week still being on track.

Today, Day 17 and the last day of the first week on Cruise will be a PP day and I will be very good. It's raining and I don't know what I'll do for exercise but I'm thinking of going to the shopping centres for a browse. Not brisk walking but I'm sure it's better than nothing.

I still have not felt like I've been on a diet as far as headaches & tiredness goes, but did have a slight headache the morning after having the stir fry.

With nearly a quarter of my excess weight lost, I'm ready for the rest.

Monday 6 June 2011

Day 10 - Dukan Diet Attack Phase

Weight this morning was 89.0kg. A loss of 200g and a total weight loss of 3.4kg

With another 200g off this morning it just confirms that the scales must have been wrong two days ago. Or I'm also starting to think it could be the salt on those sneaky chips I had. I might retain water because of that! If I loose weight suddenly during the first few days of Cruise, we'll know that that is the reason. Time will tell

Waking up this morning I actually feel like vegetables, so maybe all that thinking about vegetables yesterday prepared me for my first PV day. I am almost tempted to start PV today but is put off by the fact that I then will have a PV day at work and I don't want that. PP is much easier.

Today I had:
-3 x Coffee with skim milk
-1 x Chai tea with skim milk
-2 litres water
-1/2 glass diet lemon fizzy drink
-1 x Warm Cocoa Fudge (one serve of Oat Bran)
-3 x slices 97% fat free Roast Beef
-3 x teaspoons lite creamed Cottage Cheese
-10 little Meringue Cakes (half plain & half with chocolate essence & cinnamon)
-2 very lean beef burger patties with a cottage cheese/balsamic vinegar/mustard/parsley sauce
-3 slices Meatloaf with the above mentioned sauce

Today I felt like sneaking in some of the kid's mini double chocolate muffins/cakes I made, but only had a tiny taste to see if it tasted okay. I used a gluten free muffin mix but with all that chocolate it looked more like a cake.

Tomorrow is my first PV day. I'm going to make a beef roast in the slowcooker. I've never done this so lets hope I don't stuff this one up.

Day 9 - Dukan Diet Attack Phase

Weight this morning was 89.2kg. Gain of 400g and a total weight loss of 3.2kg

That sort of confirms that the scales must have been wrong yesterday, unless I did loose a lot of fluid and it is now just being retained again.

I wasn't really too shocked by the weight gain as I thought the loss of 900g yesterday was a bit too much.

So today I tried out my new chocolate essence. I'm sure it is not any better nutritional wise than the cocoa I have, but mentally it seems better.

First I made chocolate pralines and substituted the cocoa with half the amount of chocolate essence. Next time I should use a lot less. It was so chocolaty I could hardly eat it. Just tasted too sweet. It took all day snacking on one ice cube size, just to finish one. Luckily there's only about three ice cube sizes. My son likes it though...

Second, I tried a cheese cake. This flopped too, for many reasons. I used too much chocolate essence, the pan I used was too big so it came out too flat and lastly I tried turning it to cook the bottom a bit crispier, but broke the thing in lots of pieces.

As you can see I'm not so good in the kitchen. I'm hoping one day I'll get banned so I don't have to cook anymore. Ha ha maybe that's wishful thinking.....

Lastly I made some Warm Cocoa Fudge, which didn't look like the picture at all. I didn't taste these as each portion has one day worth of oat bran and I've already planned on having Dukan Bread, which will be my oat bran for the day. I might try these tomorrow even though it's meant for the Cruise phase and not really suitable for the Attack phase.

Today I had:
-3 x Coffee with skim milk
-1/2 glass diet lemon fizzy drink
-1.5 litres water
-2 x slices 97% fat free Roast Beef
-2 x slices 97% fat free English Ham
-1 tbs lite creamed Cottage Cheese
-1 serve Dukan Bread
-1 slice 97% fat free Cajun Chicken - this has a high carb content but I ate it anyway
-1 ice cube size chocolate praline (as mentioned before, it took me all day to eat this)
-2 x BirdsEye lemon & parsley steamed Fish (definitely a favourite meal at the moment)

I started thinking about what veg I'll have on my first PV day on Monday. Early in the day I felt like I just don't want vegetables, almost dreading having to have vegetables. By night time I sort of accepted that I have to start vegetables soon. I don't know why I dreaded introducing vegetables as I usually like vegetables. Roasted vegetables in particular. It might be because subconsciously I know that the weight loss will slow down as soon as I introduce the vegetables.

Friday 3 June 2011

Day 8 - Dukan Diet Attack Phase

My weight this morning was 88.8kg. A loss of 900g for the day and a total weight loss of 3.6kg.

Wow that is amazing! I had to climb on the scale twice to make sure I got the correct weight. I didn't expect to loose that much. It is more than 1kg more than what was estimated on the Dukan website.

With that I feel like being a little naughty. I'm meeting some friends for lunch and decided that I will make myself a dessert to take with and as I don't have fat free cocoa I've decided I'll use what I have and live with the consequences. I tried two different recipes and neither came out nice. The first was horrible so I threw it out. The second I took with me to eat sneakily at the cafe. Turns out the other girls didn't even have anything nice so I never ate mine. I threw it out when I got home.

I went shopping after lunch and found some imitation Chocolate Essence with the ingredients being water, propylene glycol, glycerine, chocolate flavour & colour. So now I can make my chocolate flavoured desserts with a little less guilt. I hope it tastes goooooood.

Today I had:
-2 x Coffee with Skim Milk
-1.5 litres of water
-1 x mug skinny Flat White
-3 x Muffins (1 serve Oat Bran)
-2 x slices 97% fat free Chicken
-3 x slices 97% fat free Roast beef
-2 tbs lite creamed Cottage Cheese
-1/2 small grilled Chicken Breast at the cafe (sure this was done in some sort of oil/butter)
-1 whole breast of a Red Rooster roasted Chicken - without the skin
-1/2 cup no fat vanilla Yoghurt
-2 very yummy potato chips with too much salt on it (I know - very naughty - the scales will tell how naught in the morning)

As I'm writing this blog I'm thinking about what I can make with this new chocolate essence I got - Yum!

Day 7 - Dukan Diet Attack Phase

My weight this morning was 89.7kg. A loss of 300g for the day and a total weightloss of 2.7kg.

Wow I can't believe I've made it to day 7 without any major hiccups. I thought by now I would have craved carbs and that I would have had at lease a little bit of something thats not Dukan friendly.

I'm very happy with the weight loss for the 7 days. The Dukan website said I should follow the Attack phase for seven days and with an estimated loss of 2.4kg. So it was close.

I don't crave vegetables or anything else really, but I have started thinking it would be nice to try some of the Dukan diet friendly desserts. Maybe thats my way of craving the carbs.

Today I had:
-3 x Coffee with Skim Milk
-about 160ml of Diet Ginger Beer
-1/4 cup No fat Vanilla Yoghurt
-3 slices 97% fat free Ham
-4 slices 97% fat free Chicken
-1 egg done with Mixed Herbs
-1 serve of Dukan Bread
-3 tbs lite creamed Cottage Cheese
-about 6 slices of the Roast Beef I made for the family

As I said, I don't crave vegetables so I've decided to do 10 days of Pure Protein with vegetables on day 11. Which would work great for me. Day 12 will be a work day (I work Tuesdays and every second Thursdays) and it's easier eating protein only on those days. I have also decided to do PP on Tues, Thurs, Sat and every second Sunday. I know it's not ideal but at least I'll get seven PP and seven PV every two weeks.

Wednesday 1 June 2011

Day 6 - Dukan Diet Attack Phase

I weighed 90.0kg this morning. Weight loss of 400g for the day and a total of 2.4kg.

I was very happy to see the scales go down  a little bit. Finally I'm 90kg. Soon I'l be in the 80's which sound soooo much better than 90 something kilo's.

I've decided to have a nice warm breakfast today. I finally tried the Dukan bread I made a couple of days ago. It's not as salty as I thought it would be. It was actually quite nice with my egg and lean ham steaks. Just a pity I had to share it with my eldest son. Mum's toast looked better than his! With the pan I used, one serve was either two thick slices or three normal slices.

I had:
-2 x Coffee with skim Milk
-1 x cup of Rooibos Tea with skim Milk
-2 x lean Ham steaks done in a pan like bacon (no oil)
-2 x scrambled Eggs
-1 serve of Dukan Bread (1 serve of oat bran)
-3 big slices of lean Ham w Cottage Cheese (I put a blob of cheese on a slice with cracked pepper then rolled it up making a yummy roll)
-1/4 cup no fat vanilla Yoghurt
-1 x breast of a roasted Chicken

I felt full all day and could quite easily have skipped lunch but I knew I had to eat as it's one of the rules of the Dukan Diet.

Today I decided that I'll go to a health store to try find Fromage and Quark. I found Quark but it wasn't low fat so I didn't get it. The label said "European Style Cottage Cheese" so I decided I'll just use the Lite Creamed Cottage Cheese instead.

Day 5 - Dukan Diet Attack Phase

My weight this morning was 90.4kg. A gain of 300g and a total weight loss of 2kg.

What a shocker! I blame hormones for retaining water. It certainly wasn't anything I ate yesterday.

Even though I was a little shocked to see a gain whilst on the Attack phase I'm not going to let it get me down. I'm still quite happy with the 2kg I've lost. According to the official Dukan Diet website I would loose 2.4kg in the seven Attack days. So with two more days to go I'm quite content with 2kg in five days.

As this is my first day at work since starting the diet I wasn't sure how I'd cope as this is usually the time that I'd be snacking on biscuits or lollies all day. I think I did well. I made the Dukan Muffins a couple of days ago so decided to take these to work to eat when I'd usually have biscuits. As I have three muffins in a serve, it should be good to substitute.

Today I had:

-2 x Coffee with skim milk
-2 x Chai tea with skim milk
-5 slice Chicken (I was a little hungry when I woke up but wasn't ready to have breakfast yet so I snacked on one slice)
-1/2 cup no fat vanilla Yoghurt
-3 Muffins (1 serve - which is my oat bran for the day)
-3 thick slices leftover roasted Turkey
-4 slices 97% fat free peppered Ham
-1 small tin Tuna in springwater
-5 tablespoons lite creamed Cottage Cheese
-10 small Meatballs as per the recipe in the Dukan Diet Recipe Book
-2 litres of water

I'm surprised that I'm not craving all the stuff I used to eat unless I see it. And even then I just think that it would be nice to be finished with the diet. I must admit though that I have had the odd lick of my fingers when I'd handled the kids' ice cream or maybe a couple crumbs of their muffins. That definately seemed to have helped with not craving junk. Well that's my story and I'm sticking with it!

Monday 30 May 2011

Day 4 - Dukan Diet Attack Phase

I weighed in at 90.1kg this morning. A loss of 700g for the day and total of 2.3kg

Not fantastic but way better than yesterday. On other diets it would probably have taken me a month to loose what I have in the last three days. Gotta be happy with that.

I only realised last night lying in bed that I actually had too much Oat bran yesterday, as I had my daily dose in the galette as well as the about one tablespoon in the muffins. Oops!

Today I had:

-Coffee with skim milk x 2
-Bread I made yesterday - more like an omelette with yeast!
-Two slices 97% fat free Pastrami
-Two slices 97% fat free Pepper Ham
-Two tabelspoons Gherkin Cottage Cheese
-Galette
-4 slices 97% fat free pepper Ham with lite Creamed Cottage Cheese
-about 200g roasted Turkey
-Chai tea with skim milk
-1.5 litres water

Okay I think I finally have the bread sorted. Found a recipe that I have adjusted a litte as I didn't have plain yoghurt nor fromage. I used the creamed cottage cheese and vanilla yoghurt. I had a tiny taste as I've had my Oat bran for the day. It is a little salty (probably from the cottage cheese). So next time I'll use half the salt. The one I've used is on the Recipes page.

I have frozen this bread in portions (5 serves to a loaf). I kept one serve to give to a fellow Dukanian to see what she thinks. Will report back tomorrow.

I still have no headaches and I'm still not feeling overly tired.

Day 3 - Dukan Diet Attack Phase

Today I weighed 90.8kg. That is a loss of only 0.3kg for the day and a total of 1.6kg.

Not what I was hoping for but I did eat a bit too much and also shouldn't have had the cocoa and so many eggs. Well so we learn.

Day 3 started early (my son woke up at 4.30am and wouldn't go back to bed). As it was too early to start eating or to weigh myself I had a couple glasses of water untill my weigh in time between 6 and 7am. I'm hoping this (the water in my tummy) is the reason for a small weight loss rather than what I ate yesterday but if not I am happy with any weight loss.

I still don't have headaches, which I have been expecting.

I've had an on-the-go day. Took the kids to
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. There was lots of ups and downs to supply me with the exercise I needed. Pushing a double stroller on and off for 4 hours on such a busy day is hard work. Then it started to rain really hard and I had to run to the car.

I must have not had enough water today as I didn't need the toilet nearly as much as yesterday - even though I still had more than the prescribed 1 and half litres.

I've tried to eat a little less eggs today so this is what I consumed today:

-2 x Coffee with skim milk
-1 x Mug Flat White (skim milk)
-4 slices 97% fat free Pastrami
-Galette
-3 left over Quiches
-Small tin of Tuna in springwater with 2 tablespoons 97% fat free Gherkin Cottage Cheese
-BirdsEye Steamed Fish - Lemon & parsley (this was sooo nice I'm going to stock up on these)
-3 muffins (which is one serve according to the Dukan Diet Recipe Book) I changed the recipe a little. Used 1/2 the amount oat bran and 1/2 wheat bran. Also fat free vanilla Yoghurt instead of fromage and added 1 tablespoon of lemon & lime Metamucil for flavour and extra fibre.

I made these muffins as I am scared that constipation might become an issue. The batch made 12 muffins (4 serves) so I put one serve in the fridge and two in the freezer. I would suggest making it without the Metamucil if you don't have constipation issues.

I attempted the Dukan bread in the recipe book but it looks nothing like bread. More like an omelette and smelling a bit too yeasty. Will have to find a better recipe. When I've got that I will post it in the recipe section.

Day 2 - Dukan Diet Attack Phase

I weighed myself first thing this morning and weighed 91.1kg. How fantastic! That is a loss of 1.3kg in a day.

Now I'm even more motivated.

I made some crustless quiches with two eggs, 7 egg whites, 1/2 tin tuna, onion & coriander, salt & pepper. I made them about half a cupcake size so I'd have lots (9). So I decided I'd go buy the Dukan Diet Recipe book for ideas. Mainly for the dessert tipe things as that is my downfall. I couldn't wait to get home and try something.
I made Nana's Cake - two servings and I ate both. Later I made chocolate meringues and ate the lot too. What a pig! Don't think I was really allowed the cocoa in attack but it's too late now. Will see what scale says tomorrow.

It's only really today that I feel the effects of drinking lots of water. I wonder if all those trips to the toilet would count as excercise.
I also feel tired today but it could be because I didn't get much sleep last night.

Today I consumed a lot:

-Coffee with skim milk
-Galette
-6 Quiches
-Chai tea with skim milk x 2
-1/2 tin Tuna in springwater mixed with 2 tablespoons of 97% fat free Cottage cheese with gherkin
-3 slices peppered Ham
-2 serves of Nana's Cake
-4 Chicken drumsticks cooked in oven, with Lemon & herb Cook in bag mix. I cooked it with the skin then pulled the skin off which had most of the mix stuck to it so I only got the flavour.
-A whole batch of Chocolate meringues
-1 cup No fat Yoghurt
-3 litres of water

Can't wait to see if all this food made a difference to my attempt to loose weight. I hope not because Dr Dukan does say you can eat as much as you like.

Day 1 - Dukan Diet Attack Phase

I started the Dukan diet on 27/5/2011 weighing 92.4kg.

I was not extremely well prepared food wise but I did buy No fat vanilla yoghurt, 97% fat free cottage cheese with gherkin, egg, oat bran and some cold meats to get me started. I couldn't find Fromage & no fat cottage cheese & I was in a hurry so the 97% fat free cottage cheese will have to do and I'll just use yoghurt instead of Fromage for the time being. And I also have no idea where to find quark.

As this is my first day on the diet I still crave everything I am not allowed. It is really hard to resist when it is constantly thrown in front of you in the form of ads on TV, magazines, shops, just about everywhere. Even in the house it is everywhere - fruit bowl on the table, the pantry & the fridge, etc. I've tried my best to be good even though I did have some pork.

I even resisted ordering non-Dukan diet things when I went with my friend to a surf club. She had an iced chocolate and cookie and the kids had icecream. I was very proud of myself for the self control. Hopefully a good sign of things to come.

Today I had:

-Instant coffee with skim milk & sweetener
-Galette - I made enough for 4 days but tried making the recipe from memory and stuffed up. I used water instead of fromage and added little bit of vanilla no fat yoghurt when I realised my mistake. It still tasted yum.
-Roast pork shoulder - left over from the day before - I tried eating the leanest & most cooked bits to reduce fat intake
-One egg dry fried, topped with tin chicken & gherkin cottage cheese (97% fat free)
-1/2 grilled chicken breat
-2 mugs skinny flat white
-4 slices 97% fat free Pepper Ham (the pre packaged ones)
-No fat Vanilla Yoghurt
-Lots of water (about 2 litres)

I felt good at the end of the day. I didn't feel tired nor did I have a headache. I actually expected it as I have always had headaches when I've eaten mainly protein. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
